Noam Chomsky: The case against U.S. adventurism in Iraq

A cogent description by Chomsky of both Bush's reasons and goals for an attack on Iraq and why this is wrong politically and morally.

It seems a done deal, now, but I don't want this blood on my hands--and it is on my hands, all of our hands--even if we get into our cars and drive away, we can't drive away from responsibility.

Thirteen/WNET - Online Pressroom

Domestic Violence by Frederick Wiseman on PBS Tonight.

Frederick Wiseman is a long time idol of mine--he has been making straightforward, un-narrated cinema verite docs for almost 40 years.

PBS has been his funding for all those years and is running Domestic Violence tonight and tomorrow night (on my affiliate, anyway).

His docs can seem a little like watching paint dry, but their power is in the cumulative effect of what you learn about the subjects--you're watching in kind of a daze produced by overload and then whammo--OK I get it.
